A novel way to raise funds

Our big book sale was back this year, raising $700 for our Healing Little Hearts Program. Our second annual used book sale was held April 12 and 13 at The Family Centre.

Once again we were humbled by the generosity of the many donors who brought in their gently used books for our sale. It was wonderful to see some familiar faces from last year, many of whom said they’d be back again in 2018.

Funds raised through the book sale supported our Healing Little Hearts Program for children ages 4-7 who are grieving the death of a loved one. This year, we redeveloped the program and are expanding it to offer it twice during the year. Proceeds from the sale will help cover the costs associated with these exciting changes, and ensure we are meeting the needs of children in our community who are grieving.
