Ask a friend to help us reach our year-end goal!

Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region had a wonderful and inspiring GivingTuesday this week. It was truly incredible to see our community rally together to give back to the organizations they are passionate about. fundraisingthermo

We are pleased to report that since our “20 Days 20 Ways” campaign launched earlier this month, $925 in donations have been received! Thank you to everyone who already donated or connected with us about getting involved. We truly appreciate your support.

But we aren’t done yet!

We set a $4,000 campaign goal for this year and we need YOUR help to reach it by December 31. All we’re asking is that you ask a friend to donate to BFO-MR in support of our programs.
Just think, if everyone asked FIVE friends to donate $20 how much progress we could make!
Why your support matters…
  • Parents grieving the death of an infant or child are given a safe, welcoming environment to explore their grief, share their stories and support each other.
  • Through our Healing Little Hearts Program, pre-school children are given an opportunity to understand and cope with feelings of loss when they have experienced the death of a loved one.
  • Hundreds of people grieving the death of a loved one connect with each other to share coping strategies and new perspectives in our Living with Loss groups in Kitchener, Cambridge and Mount Forest.
  • Our members are able to remember their loved ones by attending the Butterfly Release & Walk to Remember and Tree of Bright Stars memorial events.
  • We can educate the community so they gain a better understanding of grief and the resources available to them through education and outreach.
  • Professionals and community members can engage in important conversations about death, grief and bereavement at our bi-annual conference.
  • Volunteers receive facilitator training which increases our capacity to provide grief and bereavement support in more communities, including Guelph and Wellington County.
Because of your support, we can help the healing begin.

We will be sharing our progress on the website and on Facebook and Twitter, so watch for our tracking graphic!
