BFO-MR starts new fundraising chapter with book sale
New this year, Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region hosted a fundraising book sale to raise funds to expand our lending library – a valuable resource for people in the community who are grieving the death of a loved one.
Book donations were collected for a week at the end of March and the sale was held at The Family Centre on Friday April 1 and Saturday April 2.
“We were absolutely shocked and humbled by the generosity of people in the community,” says Jaime Bickerton, BFO-MR Executive Director. “We received an incredible amount of book donations. It was amazing to see.”
The sale raised $1,200 to purchase new resources for the lending library.
Thank you to the volunteers who generously gave of their time (and muscle power!) to help set up and wrap up the sale, and who helped participants find their perfect read.
