Workshop Series: Grief in Diverse Communities

Our team is busy planning this year’s conference turned workshop series and are thrilled to share that our theme for 2021 is Grief in Diverse Communities. We will be exploring this theme as it relates to BIPOC communities, LGBTQ+ communities and other cultures. Our goal is to create a space to learn more about grief experienced by these populations, and take away tangible, practical ideas on how to best offer support.

We’re sure you’re probably tired of hearing this, but yes, things are going to look different this year…

Rather than host a full day of learning as we’ve done in the past, we’re offering four 1-1.5 hour sessions over the course of four weeks in September and October. Our hope is that by breaking up the sessions over multiple weeks, we’re increasing attendees’ capacity to learn virtually (a whole day on Zoom is HARD!) and that we’re respecting everyone’s busy schedules.

So less “conference” and more “workshop series”.

You will have the option to register for all four sessions at a discounted rate, or pick and choose the ones you’d like to attend.

Sessions will be offered the weeks of:

  • September 20
  • September 27
  • October 4
  • October 11

We look forward to sharing more information as details are confirmed.
