EDUCATION SESSION: Grieving the death of a grandparent
February 21 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
The death of a grandparent can be shocking and painful. While this loss is commonly experienced, and may come after a long life or a long illness, it does not lessen the impact or the grief experienced. For many, grandparents were parental figures, which can be difficult to explain to someone who has not had this experience. For others, the loss might have come after a long family estrangement, adding another layer of grief to process.
In this virtual education session in partnership with the KPL, learn more about grief after the death of a grandparent, and take away ideas on how to cope.
Participants will be given an opportunity to share questions and/or their experiences at the end of the session, but sharing is not required.
