Grieving a death by substance use
The Living with Loss by Substance Use group is a peer grief support group for adults 18+ grieving a death by drugs or alcohol. The goal of this group is to lessen stigma, encourage dialogue and host a welcoming space for you to connect with others grieving a similar loss. All Living with Loss by Substance Use groups are led by two trained peer support volunteers who have also experienced a death by substance use.
IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT THE LIVING WITH LOSS BY SUBSTANCE USE GROUP
We will be transitioning the group away from a monthly open group to a closed 8-week program beginning in the fall (dates to be determined).
Our team has spent a lot of time over the last year reviewing and assessing this program to ensure the support provided continues to be beneficial for participants and sustainable for BFO to continue as an organization.
PLEASE NOTE: The April group has been cancelled. Watch for more information on our closed group coming soon.
