Grieving a death by substance use
The Living with Loss by Substance Use group is a peer grief support group for adults 18+ grieving a death by drugs or alcohol. The goal of this group is to lessen stigma, encourage dialogue and host a welcoming space for you to connect with others grieving a similar loss. All Living with Loss by Substance Use groups are led by two trained peer support volunteers who have also experienced a death by substance use.
This group runs monthly, and you do not need to attend every session. You are welcome to join at any point in your grief and attend for as long as you need the support.
In Fall 2024, Living with Loss by Substance Use groups will be offered virtually on the third Wednesday of the month from 7-9 p.m.
YOU MUST REGISTER FOR EACH GROUP YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND. Space is limited, so only register if you know you can join. To cancel your registration, email support@bfomidwest.org or call 519-603-0196
Registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on the day the group meets.
PLEASE NOTE: Our groups pause for the summer and don’t run for the months of July and August. Dates and registration for September to December 2024 can be found below.
