Living with Loss
Living with Loss is a peer grief support group for adults 18+. This is a space to connect with others are grieving a death of any kind.
It runs three times per month from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
You do not have to attend every group. You are welcome to join at any point in your grief and attend for as long as you need the support. All Living with Loss groups are led by two trained peer support volunteers who have also experienced a death.
In Fall 2024, Living with Loss groups will be offered:
- In-person in Kitchener on the first Tuesday of the month (Westmount Memorial Celebration Centre)
- In-person in Waterloo on the third Tuesday of the month (Waterloo Public Library – Main Library – parking is free after 5p.m.)
- Virtually on the third Tuesday of the month
YOU MUST REGISTER FOR EACH GROUP YOU WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND. Space is limited, so only register if you know you can join. To cancel your registration, email support@bfomidwest.org or call 519-603-0196.
Registration closes at 12:00 p.m. on the day the group meets. (For Oct 1st group, registration will close at 12:00 p.m. on Sept 30th. This is to accommodate staff attendance at our conference on Oct 1st.)
Living with Loss New Hamburg
For Fall 2024, we are offering a six-week closed Living with Loss peer grief support group in New Hamburg in partnership with Interfaith Counselling Centre. This group is for adults 18+ and is a space to connect with others are grieving a death of any kind. It runs on Tuesday evenings (November 5 to December 10) from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Please visit this page for more information and to register.
