Support for teens
Good Grief is a six-week peer support group for teens 13-17. The goal of this program is to help teens learn about grief and how to cope when somebody in their life dies. The group is run by a Registered Social Worker (MSW) and a peer support volunteer.
In this group, teens will:
- Explore their feelings about death and grief and develop strategies for expressing and responding to these emotions
- Learn coping strategies and begin building a support network
- Have opportunities for creative expression
- Have a compassionate space to share memories of their person
