Bid to Give Online Auction
Bid to Give is an online auction that raises essential funds that make our peer grief support programs and education and outreach initiatives possible. As an organization that receives no government funding, fundraisers like this auction mean we can continue to be there for communities who are grieving, free of charge.
Our programs support parents who are grieving the death of an infant or child, children and teens who have had a significant person in their life die, and adults who are grieving any type of death, including by substance use. It is critical that communities have access to support when they need it most.
Here is where you come in. We have an ambitious $9,000 goal and we need your help! Place your bids and share far and wide so we can make this year’s auction a HUGE success.
This year’s auction runs from February 24 to March 2.
OTHER WAYS TO HELP
If you want to support BFO but don’t see an item on auction that catches your eye, there is also the option to make a financial donation:
- Online
- By EFT to etransfer@bfomidwest.org
- By cheque (payable to Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region) and mailed to 65 Hanson Avenue, Kitchener ON N2C 2H6.
Why your support matters:
“I felt heard and understood by my peers and by the facilitators. Everything that I was feeling and thinking was validated by the group. It really helped to hear how the other loss parents dealt with their grief and how they coped with triggers and during special days. It also made me feel less alone in my grief to be able to talk to others who have experienced a similar loss.” Participant, Program for parents grieving the death of an infant
