Grieving a death by substance use

This group is a peer grief support group for adults 18+ grieving a death by drugs or alcohol. The goal of this group is to lessen stigma and encourage dialogue in a welcoming space where we can connect with others grieving a similar loss. Group is led by two trained peer support volunteers who have also experienced a death by substance use.

As a group participant, you will:

  • Connect with and learn from others with shared experiences
  • Learn about the different ways we grieve
  • Share coping strategies
  • Learn how about relationships can change after a death
