Night of Bright Stars

Join us for an evening of community connection and reflection

Night of Bright Stars is a winter memorial event designed to dedicate time for communities to honour their grief, and the people in their lives who have died. It also creates a space for community reflection and connection. This free event features music, reflections, poetry, a slideshow of loved ones’ photos and more.

Returning in 2025: Guests are invited to hang a personalized keepsake on decorative trees as part of the ceremony.

A children’s craft room with several activities will be available for kids. While the room will be supervised by volunteers, it is not childcare. Light refreshments will be provided. Registration is required.

2025 KEEPSAKES

The following keepsakes are available for purchase as part of Night of Bright Stars 2025. All keepsakes can personalized with your person’s name. On stars and angels, names are handwritten by volunteers and on the cardinals a personalized small tag will be attached. Personalization is optional. Once again this year we are offering the engraved clear stars for purchase. Click on the images below for keepsake specifications and to place orders. Please note: You do not have to attend Night of Bright Stars to purchase keepsakes, and you don’t have to purchase a keepsake to attend Night of Bright Stars.

Night of Bright Stars: Featured Performer

We are excited to be featuring local artist Katy Topham as this year’s musical guest! Katy possesses not only a unique and distinctive singing voice but also an incredible talent for creating memorable and authentic music. We look forward to having Katy perform!

Horizontal photos work best. Photos may be supplied in jpeg or png format. High-resolution is preferred – maximum file size 2MB. Include the name of your loved one in the file name. Scans of printed photos are okay – but note that the quality of the picture diminishes when taking a photo of a photo. Please submit just one photo per loved one. Photo must be submitted by November 10th.
